Liliana Cantú

Liliana Cantú is a native Mexican and has a BS degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in International Communication. She also holds the Intercultural Foundations Certificate awarded by the Intercultural Communication Institute, and is certified in several global assessment tools. Liliana is the founding president of SIETAR Mexico, the Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research in her country.

She has professional experience in the fields of human resources, public relations and relocation services, and specializes in the design, translation, cultural customization and delivery of training programs, live and virtual. Her main expertise for trainings and speaking engagements is in the fields of intercultural communication, diversity and inclusion, global leadership, communication skills and global ethics.

Liliana has participated on diversity and inclusion projects, training and initiatives specific to the Mexico / Latin America business environment for clients such as Toyota, Parker, Seguros Monterrey New York Life, Goldcorp, Unilever, Cargill, Colgate Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, John Deere and Ternium.

Liliana has participated as a speaker and planning committee member at several international conferences such as the Employee Relation Council, SIETAR USA, and GLOBAL SIETAR, and has served in different global councils. She has also performed as a part time university professor at the most prestigious institutions in Latin America: the ITESM (commonly known as Monterrey Tech) where she has taught intercultural communication courses to national and international students in Spanish and English.

Her passion for collaborating in building a more inclusive world emerged when she travelled for a year with the international organization Up With People, collaborating and performing with young fellow cast members from around the world and visiting over 60 communities in 9 countries. The group’s motto “we celebrate our differences” has stuck with Liliana and has defined her professional path for over 20 years.

Liliana lives in Monterrey, Mexico with her husband and two young children.
