Mary Waceke Muia is an Inspirational and Transformational Leader with recognized expertise in Organization Design & Development, Strategy formulation & Execution, Business Transformation, Change & Performance Management and HR. She is an expert on Gender, Diversity& Inclusion and Facilitator on unconscious bias, Future fluency and cultural intelligence. She has successfully led several Business & Culture Transformations both in Private and Public sector. She has worked for a Multinational oil company both in Kenya & regionally, was Head of Performance & Change in a public utility company. Her last role was HR Director Central Bank of Kenya. She has overseen diverse Business Change Projects from Business process re-engineering, Job Evaluation, Automation rollout & ICT upgrades, and sustainability efforts focused on triple ‘P’ (People, Profit and Planet) bottom line. Currently she is a management consultant, a Life, Business and Leadership Coach, a facilitator on Unconscious Bias, sits in the panel of Leadership faculty and coaches for United Nations. She is also undertaking her PHD in Governance and management, with focus on climate change and value chains.

She is a Mechanical Engineer, holds a Masters of Arts in Environmental management with Focus on Sustainable Development, Accredited Executive Coach, Certified Master Professional in Balance Score Card from George Washington University, Certified Change Expert- Prosci USA, Certified Project management Professional-Prince II UK, Certified Public Secretary, an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School of Government . She is a much sought after speaker, and Moderator at Local & International forums, UN agencies’ retreats and UN Annual Women Empowerment Principles (UNwep), New York. She facilitates consensus & clarity building in complex multilevel stakeholder meetings.

She is passionate in championing Diversity & Inclusion, challenging unconscious bias and working with organizations to embed contextualized & customized sustainability frameworks. As a Leader I believe, “I have the competency, inspiration, discipline and the courage to drive broad-based social Change and Sustainability initiatives that enhance Governance, Inclusion, Social, Economic and Environmental justice. We must contribute to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through individual and collective choices in a way that creates a more Sustainable, Just, Fair and Equitable world”.
