The Centre for Global Inclusion was established in July 2017 by our Co-Founders Julie O’Mara and Alan Richter. One of the early activities and programs was to offer The GDIB (then) a home. Today, GDEIB has evolved (previous versions were referred to as GDIB). Our activities have been to serve as a resource for research and education for individuals and organizations in the quest to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion practices around the world. The GDEIB is distributed for free to individuals, academia/education, businesses, governments, community organizations, and NGOs around the world.
Our Co-Founders and our founding board members worked tirelessly to improve the quality of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion through research, education, and support to those interested.
The culmination of materials led to three key areas of our work – the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Benchmarks: Standards for Organizations Around the World (GDEIB) which is organized into 15 categories, with levels of achievement and individual benchmarks from inactive to best practices; teaching activities; user tools and supports; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: The Future, and Education and Communication; all supporting the “how-to” of good DEI work.
All the work that has culminated with the GDEIB was from the expertise, insights, talent, experience, and foresight of our 112 thought leaders, who we refer to as Expert Panellists. Our Expert Panellists come from around the world.
